Our Band:
Shen Rep 5 AC 2 Star Thief (smooth, clumsy)
Phineas Rep 4 AC 2 Grunt Soldier (Hard as Nails)
Ragnar Rep 4 AC 4 Grunt Healer (Agile) Red SunAs Shen and his two companions crested a hill, they laid eyes on familiar mountains and valleys that marked their nearing home. Alas, it was still a fair trek to get to safety. Untamed wilds still stood between their final destination and them. Not only that, dusk was setting in rapidly so the three made haste to find a safe place to camp.
PEF 1: Two Capalan Leaguers, two rep 5 ac 6 knights with the leader having the attribute slight. Must be a patrol. I interact with them and managed to pass 1d6 less than them despite Shen being "smooth." Therefore, I gain one DRD (decreasing rep d6). I don't think Shen is as smooth as he thinks he is!
PEF 2: Four goblins! Two rep 3 ac 2 warriors and two rep 3 ac 2 shooters. Time to fire up MS Paint so I can track the battle as I'm not at home. No sense in interacting, we have a Red Sun dwarf spoiling for a fight! I randomly determined that the leader was a shooter, which makes a difference with the warriors fanatic attribute. We pass the same d6 and the goblins have the advantage. I had thought about using my EE (extraordinary effort) but decided not to and this fight may have turned out differently. The shooters target Shen and Phin. Phin is hit but carries on.
Both warriors target the dwarf who is ready for them but they get the better of him and he goes OD (obviously dead)! We take the WFT (will to fight test) and pass 2d6. Time for some revenge! We charge the warriors hoping a quick couple of kills will send the goblins running. Shen and Phin send both their opponents OOF (out of the fight) and obviously dead. The goblins take the will to fight test and one shooter leaves. The goblins are now active and he shoots at Shen missing him due to being in cover. He stays in the fight after the WFT. Shen and Phin charge, the shooter missing. Shen passes the same d6 and Phin 1d6 less than the goblin. Since he's a shooter, he gets -2 rep even though Phineas passed 1d6 less. The next round, the Goblin is utterly slaughtered. Revenge is had! I roll to loot and manage to get 2d6 IRD.
That was a bit of a tough fight for a bunch of rep 3 goblins! We will say Ragnar was killed in battle by a mighty troll if we see his clansmen so his death isn't in vain!
PEF 3: A troll! A rep 4 ac 4 to be exact. I decide that we can handle him, so we go to the action table. We pass the same d6 but have the advantage so charge in. Shen had to burn an EE on a double 6 roll but took out the troll with an OOF result. No loot.
PEF 4: More goblins, three of them. A rep 4 ac 4 warrior, a rep 3 ac 2 warrior, and a rep 3 ac 2 shooter. Since we no longer have Ragnar with us, I decide to play it smart and interact with them. We passed the same d6 and the goblins utter something we don't understand but let us go, gaining 1 DRD.
PEF 5: A singular goblin! Perhaps a straggler from the last group? He's just a lone warrior, rep 3 ac 2, so I decide to take him on. Shen charges in and sends the goblin OD. Admittedly, Shen didn't fight very well. I guess Shen really isn't a fighting man! I looted 1d6 off the goblin.
So that wraps up the last wandering encounter with only the two original characters surviving. I look at the "quest" and see we still have to do a carousing encounter with the wizard being the last PEF. It's been a long road and we lost half our band so maybe I can pick up some recruits while on the last encounter.
Total IRD/DRD so far this month:
Shen 10 IRD, 13 DRD
Phineas 5 IRD, 1 DRD
Ragnar 0 IRD, 4 DRD
IRD Pool: 18 (This will be split equally among the group with excess points going to a random band member)
