The elf and healer set off early that morning with the sunrise. They chatted along the way and sang a few traveling songs.
First PEF was a rep 3 AC 2 goblin warrior. I won the advantage and decided this would be a good time to try out the re-roll 1D6 magic item and it wasn't cursed! I also decided to try and use the magic sword since it was a lowly ol' goblin and so charged into melee. The +1D6 sword wasn't cursed either! Needless to say, the goblin didn't know what hit him and went obviously dead.
The pair strolled along easily until suddenly, they were accosted by a very brave or very stupid goblin. The elf smirked, this would be a fun little diversion. The goblin started to charge but the elf grasped his amulet and it glowed, he was on the goblin with lightening speed. To the goblin's horror, he struck home with a fiery flash from his sword. The goblin's head was lopped clean off! Utter surprise on his severed head. The healer simply shrugged and motioned to continue on.
The second PEF was just a Tereken warrior and shooter, rep 4 and 3 respectively. I forgot to take a picture but you get the idea. They passed the same on the interaction table and just passed on by.
They began to climb in elevation and it became increasingly cooler. They passed a couple of travelers who were not much for conversation as they just ignored the two. "Do I smell bad or something?" asked the healer.
"Err, a bit ripe but not too bad" the elf chuckled.
The third PEF resolved as a single rep 4 AC 2 Mirholme shooter. This time I won the interaction! Now I rolled for further interaction to recruit but failed. SIGH!
The weather turned colder and colder as they made their way up the mountain pass. The lands were now covered with snow and ice. This was Mirholme territory.
The loud crunches of human feet could be heard in the distance. It was a female Mirholme archer who waved a friendly greeting to the elf and healer. She was out hunting and seemed like a worthy addition to the party. Alas, she was not interested but parted on good terms.
It was getting late in the day and they made slower progress in the deep snows but the tavern where the healer was headed to was in sight. Two Mirholme approached them, clearly drunk. As they passed, the bare chested warrior made a comment under his breath but Tanan could clearly hear "dirty elf."
Tanan gripped his bow with a sneer but the healer sensed the tension and stayed the elf's hand. "Let it go, son. He's not worth it" the man said with a gentle smile.
I got a total of 6 increasing rep D6 and 1 decreasing rep D6 so rolled 5 dice. I got a 6 so Tanan's rep improved to 7! Not bad. Two magic items that weren't cursed to boot.
Good report. nice use of the Okumarts counters.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was quite a bit of work and cutting but I think they turned out great.
