100th post!

Yes, it has only taken almost 9 years to reach this point but hey, what can I say? I'm an over achiever. 😎 I thought I would go back to where it all began and post some pictures of my recently painted miniatures! I recently taken up the brush again, mostly to try and generate some income as I'm not employed right now.

Here's to another 100 posts! Cheers!

  1. Very nice, glad you picked up the brush (less so for the reason, of course). The effect on the armour is nice (especially the last couple of knights), what's your approach to it? Good colour choices on the wizard too.

    1. Over a black undercoat I paint a gun mental (a bit of a dark metal). Then I do an Army Painter dark wash tone (basically black wash!) followed by picking out some of the of armor that aren't so deep with a mithril shade of metal. That's basically it.

I use the Foundry Paint System and am mostly inspired by Kevin Dallimore. He's a UK chap so you might have heard of him. ;)

    2. Cheers. After many years of trying drybrushing, black lining etc, I generally do something very similar these days (usually using GW Nuln Oil), occasionally straight on the bare metal (as with the dwarves a while back).

Yep, Kevin Dallimore is pretty well known around these parts (Nottingham's just down the road from me, home of Foundry and GW, oh, and that Robin Hood chap).
