Talomir Tales: The Northman Part 2

Hellburg awakens, bloodied, bruised, and missing his sword. "Dammit!" He got to his feet, dizzy from the loss of blood. He shook his head, piecing together what had happened. He had been beaten to a pulp by some highwaymen.

Looking around, he noticed tracks (successful tracking challenge test). It didn't take an expert tracker to figure out which way his prey went. He set off in that direction as quiet as he could, with the grace of a great cat stalking his target.

Finally, he broke through a patch of forest and stepped on a twig. Crack! The lone highwayman was alerted to his presence right away. So much for being graceful as a cat!

Crack! "Ah, shit!"

"Hraggh!"

The highwayman immediately charged with a battle cry "Hrgggh!" Hellburg, only armed with his powerful fists (I ruled he was -1 rep in melee since he didn't have a sword) set himself, ready for the incoming blows.
Dies keeping track of the lowered reps!

Another furious melee, the two were an even match with the barbarian lacking his sword. Blow after bone crunching blow, left the two tired and shaky. Finally, the last blow was landed. A great fist caught the jaw of the highwayman and he went down.
After using star power three times and an extraordinary effort, the bandit goes down.

The two captives came from a poor village. There would be no reward for the safe return.

Increasing rep d6: 3 Killed the highwayman, had a successful challenge, and won the encounter...(barely)!

Decreasing rep d6: 4 Had to use 3 Star power, 1 Extraordinary Effort. Rolled 1d6 to see if I decreased in rep and got a 6. His rep stayed at 5 (1 would have dropped it a level).
